Trenton Baptist Church was organized on Aug.29 1859. In 1887, there were only a few who would take a active part in the Lords work, so the church disbanded. Again on Jan 11,1891 the church was reorganized under the prayerful consideration of W.H Porter, Lee Anderson, T.F Dawson, Mrs Annia Porter, Mrs Sallie Fisher, And Mrs L.A Dawson. So once again in the yr 1891, Trenton Baptist Church was preaching the word of the Lord! In 1948 a storm came though, destroying the Church, But Trenton Baptist Church didnt stop, Services were held in the school house until the new sanctuary was completed in 1949. The building consisted of a Auditorium & 4 Sunday School rooms. But the church continued to grow. In 1952, 2 more Sunday School rooms & a large kitchen were added. In the early 1970's a childrens church worship program was added. The worship services were held in the old schoolhouse that was moved to the church property. From a membership of 55 in 1933, under the Lords guidance the membership became 336 in 2002. 2 additions was made to the church to accommodate the membership. In Dec of 1998 the church voted to turn the childrens church building into a fellowship hall. The pews that were in the childrens church were donated to a church in need. Presently serving as deacons at Trenton baptist are: Bro Harold Crisp, Dickie Turner, Donnie Loomis, and Mike Crisp.
